OUR COMPANY
A hundred years ago, Maria’s grandfather planted coffee on the hillsides of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. That same land that is still producing the shade-grown, hand-picked, specialty grade beans that fill every bag you are holding today.
In 2004, Manny and Maria brought that tradition to Austin. From the beginning, Fara has prioritized caring for the people behind it. Whether it was the farmers, the families, or the community that has tended this land for generations.
OUR COFFEE
After harvest, our coffee is brought to Austin, Texas, where each batch is expertly roasted to highlight its full body, bright acidity, and rich aroma. From cultivation and processing to roasting and packaging, we oversee every step to deliver a consistently fresh, high quality cup of coffee.
OUR MISSION
Through the Fara Foundation, every purchase helps fund food, education, and healthcare for Matagalpa families. Our Fara Clinic has cared for over 20,000 neighbors and farmers whose hands made your cup possible.
At Fara, we care about sustaining the land that has brought much produce. Being Rainforest Alliance Certified, our beans are grown under a natural forest canopy, protecting the soil, the water, and the wildlife that call these regions their home.
